Fatouville Lighthouse
Haute-Normandie (France)

They began building the lighthouse in 1839 yet it was not until 1850 that its light shone for the first time and in 1907 it was turned off for the last time. In 1923 the state sold the lighthouse to Gaston David. Madame Durand, his granddaughter, still lives there. After restoration of the lighthouse, in 2000, she opened it as a guest house with 5 bedrooms. Breakfast is taken in the lighthouse itself. And afterwards you can mount the lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful view.
